My final Game Trailer
Here is my final game trailer, I wanted to created a point and click 2d horror game, I came up with the idea of escaping from a house, and therefore my trailer shows the characters being sucked into the house, so essentially my trailer is the start of a storyline aswell as a trailer.
Rotascoping
Here is my rotascope task, back in year 1 of college, we did a rotascoping task, and this is 'remake' of that same task. The reason I decided to do this was to go back and attempt the same task but see if this time I could do it better.
Overall i'm pleased with my rotascope, it's a bit messy at times but that's to be expected.
Storyboard
I created a storyboard in order to give me a general idea of how my frame by frame animation was going to work and how it was going to look. This image shows the 'animation' part of my storyboard. I did this with annotation in order to help me get an idea on how my character was going to move.
I looked online at previous existing characters in order to get some ideas on how a character similar to mine might move. While I was doing this I had to bare in mind that that however I decided my character was going to move it had to possible in a frame by frame type of way.
My final animation came out fairly well and how I wanted it to, however I personally believe I should have managed my time slightly better, and focused more on the actual production, this way I could have made my animation longer.
However the things I personally believe I did well was create a pretty unique and cool character, and animate him in a way that was simple yet effective.
